We use the Ladybug nominees as part of our library curriculum and having copies in the school's library allows our students to check out these titles and share them with their families. Our grade 4-8 students read the Great Stone Face nominees as part of our winter reading challenge. This program encourages students to read nominated books to earn raffle tickets. It motivates them to try books they might normally skip over. Having copies of these new titles in our library is a wonderful way to keep our library fresh and exciting for students in our small charter school.","fullyFundedDate":1745689608850,"projectUrl":"project/2025-award-nominees/9262432/","projectTitle":"2025 Award Nominees!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tanguay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10002643"},{"teacherId":8705098,"projectId":8852140,"letterContent":"We are so extremely grateful for the kindness and generosity of all our donors that made this project possible. As a small, arts-based school we are limited in our funding which often means our technology is used to the last possible moment it is functional. Your donation allows our students access to newer, functioning technology for research, projects, and lessons in math, science, music, art, ELA, and social studies. With a focus on arts-integration, our teachers often do creative projects that combine art and music with technology and core subjects. Our students get to create really cool things, all while enriching their learning and promoting academic progress. Your donation helps those projects and tools remain a reality and allows our students to access modern programs and technologies to implement in their projects. I am always so wowed by what our students create and how our staff utilizes our technology to enhance learning. We are so very grateful for the updated technology.\r\n\r\nSome of our main values are community, leadership, and empathy. It is donors like you that give those things real meaning for our students. They get to see first hand what a big impact giving to others means. Thank you for being a role model to our school community, and giving us more ways to show how much caring about others matters. We hope that these values will continue to be fostered by our students, allowing them to become leaders in our society. \r\n\r\nWe couldn't be more grateful for you and your donation.
