This donation has already made a meaningful impact on our ability to care for our students.\r\nPreviously, we had to leave the clinic and go to another part of the school to make more ice packs, which took valuable time away from student care. Now, having an ice machine directly in the clinic allows us to respond quickly and efficiently when students are injured or in pain.\r\nAdditionally, the small, soft ice cubes produced by this machine are especially beneficial. They mold comfortably to injuries, making ice packs more effective and much more comfortable for students to use. Our previous ice packs were stored in freezers, which often froze into hard ice balls and were difficult or unpleasant for students to use. These ice packs are practical, flexible and easily utilized by students when they truly need them.\r\nThis machine has also helped us reduce unnecessary back and forth trips and streamline our workflow, allowing us to spend more time focusing on our student needs, health and comfort. \r\nWe are truly grateful for your generosity and for supporting our school community through DonorsChoose. You kindness has directly improved the care we are able to provide every day, and our students benefit from it in very real ways.","fullyFundedDate":1769127433362,"projectUrl":"project/i-scream-you-scream-these-kids-need-an/10046247/","projectTitle":"I Scream, You Scream These Kids Need an Ice Machine","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10414192"},{"teacherId":8108104,"projectId":10002337,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our art project! This project helped build confidence, creativity, and excitement for learning—and it would not have been possible without your kindness and generosity.\r\nWe are truly grateful for your support and for believing in our students. Students use the handwriting workbooks, alphabet beads, lacing cards, dough mats, and magnetic bingo chips during daily centers to strengthen fine-motor skills, letter recognition, counting, and problem-solving. Simple routines, choosing a material, completing a task, cleaning up, and moving on, have become powerful moments of growth. One of my favorite moments was watching a student proudly trace their name independently for the first time, then carefully place their paper back in the bin without being prompted.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate. The colorful rugs created welcoming learning areas, the Play-Doh and art kits sparked creativity, and the crayons and supplies made them feel like \"big kids\" ready to work. Snacks became opportunities to practice life skills too, opening packages, sharing, and cleaning up after themselves. These small, everyday tasks help build confidence and self-reliance in ways that truly matter.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue rotating through structured learning centers that focus on early literacy, math, and social skills, using these tools to work more independently and collaboratively. We are also building longer work periods where students are responsible for managing their materials and staying engaged from start to finish. Because of your support, our classroom is not just a place to learn letters and numbers, it's a place where students are learning how to believe in themselves and their abilities.
