Each day, our \"STAR Student\" gets the honor of using the standing desk. It has been incredible to see how it helps them maintain focus and energy throughout the day. It's not just a desk; it's a tangible reward that promotes healthy movement and boosts self-esteem.\r\n\r\nPercy Jackson & The Magical Yet: Our classroom library is now a destination! The Percy Jackson series is being passed from hand to hand, with students forming impromptu \"book clubs\" during recess to discuss the latest plot twists. Similarly, The Magical Yet has become a staple for our read-aloud time; it never fails to capture their imaginations and spark wonderful creative writing prompts.\r\n\r\nA Moment of Magic\r\nOne specific moment that stands out happened just last week during our creative writing block. I had a student who usually struggles to get words on paper. They were using their new LCD tablet to sketch out their ideas for a story inspired by The Magical Yet. Because the tablet allowed them to erase and adjust their sketches instantly without the pressure of a permanent pencil mark, they finally felt free to let their ideas flow.
