Your support truly means a lot to me, my staff, and especially my students. We've already started using the materials every day, and it's been amazing to see the impact. One of my favorite moments was watching my students use the sentence construction puzzles—three of my students are working on IEP goals focused on writing complete sentences, and they were able to practice those skills while having fun. When we first opened the boxes, the excitement was unforgettable. One student was overjoyed to see a Grinch-themed book since he loves The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and discovering Cooking with the Grinch made his day. When we received the toys, the whole classroom was filled with happiness—students were playing, sharing, and showing each other what they got. Even my staff and I were so happy and grateful—we truly feel blessed.\r\n\r\nWe continue to use these resources to support both learning and social growth in our classroom. The sentence puzzles are helping students build confidence in writing, while the social skills activity cards give them a fun and engaging way to practice appropriate responses with peers and in different situations. My students are in a self-contained behavior classroom, and many have autism. Some struggle with self-injurious behaviors or can become overwhelmed, but they are also incredibly sweet and full of joy. The sensory tools you provided have been so helpful—students use fidget toys during activities, bring them during transitions, and visit our cool-down area where calming sensory lights help them regulate their emotions. These supports make a big difference in helping them feel safe, calm, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nYour donations have also helped me as a teacher. The supplies, especially the cutting tools, have made preparing classroom materials faster and easier, giving me more time to focus on my students. My class has a wide range of interests—some students love reading books, especially ones with real pictures like animals and places, while others learn best through hands-on and sensory play. Because of you, I'm able to better meet their individual needs and create a more engaging and supportive environment. Because of your kindness, my students now have access to materials that directly support their learning in reading and math. We have been using the new resources during our daily structured activities, such as matching letters, building simple sentences, and counting numbers. One meaningful moment I would love to share is during our small group time, when students were able to match letters and begin forming simple words with support. For many of my students, these hands-on materials make learning more engaging and easier to understand.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate. They were eager to explore, touch, and use each item, and some of them smiled and showed increased interest in participating in the activities. Students who usually need more prompting were more engaged and willing to try, especially when working on counting numbers and building sentences. It was wonderful to see them motivated and proud of their work.\r\n\r\nAs we continue using these materials, our next steps are to help students become more independent in completing tasks such as identifying letters, forming simple sentences, and counting with accuracy. We will also continue building their confidence and participation during group activities. Because of you, my students are not just learning—they are gaining the confidence to communicate, participate, and succeed.
