The students were so excited as the materials started arriving. We were working on two and three-digit addition and subtraction when the linking cubes arrived. Using the cubes really helped the students understand the concept of regrouping. Being able to physically move the cubes from one place value column to another helped them make the connection to what they were doing on their paper. \r\n\r\nThe books and spelling games were received with happy smiles. The students are so excited when they have time to sit in the library and read AR books. A few students have already met their goals! The spelling game is fun, too. Students at all levels are able to play together, which is important. One student, in particular, was so excited that he could spell some of the words faster than his classmates, who typically spell better than him. Seeing that smile was priceless. \r\n\r\nI go through a lot of prizes throughout the year and the cost can add up quickly, so we very much appreciate the prizes.
