These resources have made a meaningful impact on my students' learning experiences. My students are using the CVC materials to practice sounding out and spelling simple words through engaging, hands-on activities. Because the materials are presented in a game format, students are highly motivated and eager to participate. Many of them enjoy searching for the correct letters and building words, often without realizing how much learning is taking place while they play. The magnetic letters have also been extremely helpful for developing fine motor skills and letter recognition. For some of my students, simply locating and selecting the correct letters is an important developmental step, and these materials provide the support they need to practice those skills.\r\n\r\nThe math manipulatives have also been incredibly valuable in helping students develop early number sense. My students are able to visually see quantities, count objects, and connect numbers with physical representations. As students handle and move the materials, they gain a clearer understanding of counting and number relationships. When the materials first arrived, the students were excited to explore them and immediately began interacting with the different pieces. Their enthusiasm for the hands-on learning tools has continued each day as we incorporate them into our lessons.\r\n\r\nThese resources are especially beneficial for my students with autism, who learn best through tactile and visual experiences. Having tangible materials allows them to actively participate in lessons, remain engaged, and demonstrate what they know. The new materials are helping my students build foundational reading and math skills while also strengthening fine motor development and independence during learning activities. Your generosity has created meaningful opportunities for my students to learn, explore, and grow. Thank you for making this possible for our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1768192633565,"projectUrl":"project/small-tools-big-wins-for-autism-learner/10007496/","projectTitle":"Small Tools, Big Wins for Autism Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tanko","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9591024_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747177202439","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9591024"},{"teacherId":9150096,"projectId":9991509,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, our classroom has transformed into an even more engaging, hands-on learning environment. The first day we opened the LEGO sets and magnetic blocks, my students' faces lit up with excitement. One of my students, who is often hesitant to participate in group activities, immediately began building alongside a peer. What started as parallel play quickly turned into collaboration as they worked together to create a \"zoo\" and labeled the animals using our new CVC word materials. It was a powerful moment of communication, creativity, and confidence.\r\n\r\nOur phonics manipulatives and magnetic CVC photo objects are now part of our daily small-group instruction. Students use the word builders to sound out and construct simple words, then write them on colorful Astrobrights paper using their new markers. I've seen growth not only in decoding skills, but also in independence. The headphones have helped students focus during literacy centers, reducing distractions and supporting regulation. Even the mini fridge has made a meaningful difference—having access to preferred snacks, sensory supports, and cold packs helps my students stay regulated and ready to learn, minimizing disruptions and maximizing instructional time.\r\n\r\nNext, we are building on these skills by combining literacy with STEM. Students will design and build structures with LEGO bricks, then write simple sentences describing what they created using our phonics tools. We are also working on social skills through structured games like UNO, focusing on turn-taking, flexibility, and positive peer interactions. Your support has not just provided materials, it has created opportunities for connection, growth, and joyful learning experiences that my students will carry with them every day.","fullyFundedDate":1768082956215,"projectUrl":"project/building-bright-minds-through-play-art/9991509/","projectTitle":"Building Bright Minds Through Play, Art, and Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Longueira","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9150096_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y279&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691026698276","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9150096"},{"teacherId":9128360,"projectId":9993643,"letterContent":"I want to sincerely thank you for your generous support of our classroom through the \"Classroom Support Materials\" program.
