The printer has brought a new kind of curiosity into our classroom as we learn how it works, troubleshoot problems, and celebrate successful prints together. Students are genuinely invested in the process, and they're learning that mistakes and adjustments are part of creating something real.\r\nEven though we haven't started printing our science models yet, we've already found meaningful ways to use it. We've printed small 3D characters for behavior recognition, and we've also printed game pieces and boards like chess for students who finish their work early. That has sparked deeper thinking about how games like chess can strengthen students' brains, and it has motivated students to stay focused and complete their assignments so they can earn a chance to print something. Thank you for making this new learning experience possible, we're excited to keep growing with it through the rest of the year.","fullyFundedDate":1768527551313,"projectUrl":"project/see-it-hold-it-learn-it-3d-printed-sc/10017775/","projectTitle":"See It, Hold It, Learn It: 3D Printed Science Models","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vivas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9120679"},{"teacherId":1921681,"projectId":10021724,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your willingness to help provide my students with new art opportunities! Many of my students know that Posca Markers are great tools, but recognize they can be a bit expensive. They were extremely excited to be able to try them out.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will practice elements of sculpture using our modeling clay. They are so excited to recreate famous, historical statues using both the sculpey/modeling clay and the tools provided to them! Some of my students reported they have never had an opportunity to try sculpture, but it was something they've always wanted to do. With 125 kids across 5 different class periods, there are a lot of hands touching the surfaces in the room. I strive to keep the desk as germ-free as possible, but with budget cuts, cleaning supplies can be hard to come by. I am grateful that I was able to get a pack of wipes for my classroom that will last me the entire school year and help keep everyone healthy.\r\n Additionally, kids are on screens a lot throughout the day now that we have 1:1 devices. I try to keep them in my room offline when I can, but that makes organizing papers difficult. Luckily, I was able to order some organizational materials for my classroom. The rolling cart with drawers will help keep papers organized for different classes and assignments. The containers will hold pencils, colored pencils, markers, and other materials the students use for projects. \r\n I am a middle school Social Studies teacher. This was my first year teaching social studies, so I did not have a lot of wall hangings for my classroom. The items I had were borrowed from other teachers. This project helped me secure posters for my room that are educational and current. The students enjoy looking at the maps and pointing out places we discuss. The colored pencils will be extremely useful when the students are coloring maps or working on different poster projects. The students are currently finishing a project where they chose any country in Asia and researched it. The final project is a poster that they designed with information for their country. They love project based learning and being able to use their artistic skills in poster projects.\r\n\r\nThank you again for everything, your generosity means a lot.","fullyFundedDate":1769177569722,"projectUrl":"project/historygeography-around-the-world/10002973/","projectTitle":"History/Geography Around the World","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Blake","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10400686"},{"teacherId":10408412,"projectId":10032326,"letterContent":"Thank you so much again for donating to my project. I intentionally create a lesson where students pick different color markers so I know what work they did on the whiteboards. It was really cool to see them excited to pick their favorite colors. Also, the shower caddies made a big impact. The students and I were excited to see how organized the supplies were and how accessible the supplies were. Every table has their own shower caddie organizer for supplies. \r\n\r\nThe students were excited and curious about all the supplies. They thought all the supplies were just for me, they got more excited when I mentioned it was for the whole class. \r\n\r\nThe next steps on a lesson or project is to have the students comfortable with the new materials and getting used to using the whiteboards along the walls.
