This project will help my students be engaged and comfortable at school. Our supplies will help us with everyday class work, and the chrome book chargers will help for students who forgot to bring their charger on days when we're working on the chrome books. The art supplies will be used to create poster projects to help the students show what they are learning in multiple ways CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.8.5 Integrate multimedia and visual displays into presentations to clarify information, strengthen claims and evidence, and add interest. The Anne Frank graphic novel will expand our view of Anne Frank's story and engage the students in a unique way. The standards that will be hit are CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.8.5 and CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.8.6, comparing different texts and analyzing characters. The maxi pads will be given to students who cannot afford them, or who need them during the school day since protocols prevent us from sending them to the nurse to get a pad. The snacks will be used as rewards for class participation, excellent work on major assignments, etc.
