I use the easels during small group instruction, and they have been very helpful for student learning. They allow me to display letters, numbers, and sentences clearly so all students can see and engage with the material.\r\n\r\nThe cookie letters allow students to find missing sounds in words and create CVC words in fun and engaging ways. They also give students the opportunity to manipulate the letters and place them where they belong.\r\n\r\nThe Legos have become one of our Friday activities at the end of the day, called Fun Friday. This time allows students to relax after a week of lessons and gives them an opportunity to socialize with their classmates.\r\n\r\nI truly appreciate your support of our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1768868946664,"projectUrl":"project/with-one-easel-we-learn-together-read/9998368/","projectTitle":"With One Easel, We Learn Together: Read, Write, and Share","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. A Vicente","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8469173"},{"teacherId":10177730,"projectId":10001145,"letterContent":"I wanted to send a sincere thank you for the cleaning and organization supplies you provided for our classroom. It might seem simple, but these items have completely transformed our daily rhythm by clearing away the physical and mental clutter that often slows us down. The kids have taken so much pride in their \"new\" space, and having a designated home for all our materials has replaced the usual transition-time chaos with a sense of calm and focus. It's much easier for them to dive into a lesson when their environment feels fresh, tidy, and ready for work.\r\n\r\nBeyond the bins and sprays, your generosity has sent a powerful message to my students that their learning environment truly matters. Seeing the boxes arrive was a huge boost for us, reminding the kids that there are kind people out there rooting for their success. You haven't just helped me organize a room; you've helped me create a space where my students feel respected and empowered to do their best work. Using base ten blocks, fraction tiles, number lines, algebra tiles, and place value disks, students are able to model their thinking, make abstract concepts more concrete, and explain their reasoning with confidence.\r\nThese tools have increased participation during math lessons and supported deeper conversations about place value, fractions, and problem-solving strategies. Students who previously struggled to explain their thinking are now able to show their understanding visually and verbally. The joy and excitement in the classroom were truly unforgettable. For many of my students, receiving these materials was equivalent to receiving Christmas gifts on Christmas Day. Their eyes lit up as they explored each item, and the sense of pride and ownership they felt was immediate. This project did far more than provide supplies; it created an environment where students felt valued, inspired, and motivated to learn.\r\n\r\nThe students especially enjoyed the craft materials, which allowed them to engage in learning in a highly interactive and creative way. Through hands-on activities, they were able to express themselves, collaborate with peers, and take responsibility for their work. These moments of creativity encouraged students to make choices, solve problems, and share ideas—important skills for developing leadership at an early age. The materials transformed everyday lessons into meaningful experiences where students could take initiative and feel confident in their abilities.\r\n\r\nKindergarten students naturally love to engage in play while learning, and the resources from this project helped make those learning dreams a reality. The supplies supported play-based learning that promoted communication, teamwork, and independence. As students worked together during centers and group activities, they practiced listening, taking turns, and helping one another. These are foundational leadership skills that will benefit them not only in school but throughout their lives.\r\n\r\nThis project also helped students develop a strong sense of responsibility and classroom leadership. With access to engaging materials, students were eager to help set up activities, clean up, and model positive behavior for their classmates. Many students took on leadership roles naturally, guiding peers, explaining directions, and encouraging others to participate. Seeing their confidence grow as they realized they could be role models for one another was incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this project created a positive and inclusive classroom culture. Students felt empowered to take risks, try new things, and celebrate each other's successes. The excitement generated by these materials increased student engagement, improved focus, and strengthened social-emotional skills. Learning became joyful, collaborative, and student-centered.\r\n\r\nI am extremely grateful to the donors who made this project possible. Your generosity has had a lasting impact on my students by giving them the tools they need to grow as learners and as leaders. Because of you, my classroom is a place where creativity thrives, confidence grows, and young leaders are nurtured every day.","fullyFundedDate":1634944408999,"projectUrl":"project/helping-my-students-become-leaders/5941218/","projectTitle":"Helping My Students Become Leaders!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8139904_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1681067176262","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8139904"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_60068","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":400,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":41,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":52.9,"schoolId":60068,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about H.P.
