Thanks to your kindness, each of my students now has their very own copy of The Hunger Games, along with the essential teaching materials and study guides needed to bring this unit to life. Having these physical resources in hand transforms our reading experience, allowing every student to follow along, highlight key passages, and actively participate in our daily lessons without having to share or miss out.\r\n\r\nSuzanne Collins' novel offers far more than an engaging storyline; it serves as a powerful anchor for exploring vital themes like empathy, social responsibility, government structures, and media influence. With the supplementary teaching materials your donations funded, we are tackling high-level literary analysis, critical thinking activities, and dynamic class debates. Seeing the students eagerly unbox these fresh materials and dive straight into the reading has created an incredible spark of enthusiasm in our classroom.\r\n\r\nYour contribution does more than just supply books—it sends a clear message to my students that their education matters and that a community of people believes in their potential. Thank you for investing in our classroom, fostering a genuine love for reading, and providing tools that will leave a lasting impact on these young minds throughout the school year.","fullyFundedDate":1699154407999,"projectUrl":"project/hunger-for-knowledge/7988137/","projectTitle":"Hunger For Knowledge!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8664350"},{"teacherId":10412767,"projectId":10042100,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the supplies that were provided for my classroom. While a few of the items I had hoped for were unfortunately out of stock, I am incredibly grateful for what we did receive. The cleaning supplies and facial tissues arrived at the perfect time during the cold season and have been used daily—we truly appreciate the support in helping keep our classroom healthy.\r\n\r\nThe materials you provided also helped me decorate for Black History Month with historical figures, which tied in perfectly with our Civil War unit. This created a more engaging and meaningful learning environment for my students. I did take photos of our classroom, but I realized afterward that I did not have parental permission to share student images.\r\n\r\nThe Clorox wipes have been especially helpful in cleaning desks daily and keeping germs under control. The broom has also made a difference in keeping our classroom floor clean, especially when students are so engaged in their learning that small messes sometimes go unnoticed.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the printer came at just the right time. It has allowed me to print from home, giving me more flexibility for grading and preparing special projects for my students.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for supporting my classroom—it truly makes a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1768844627546,"projectUrl":"project/making-history-geography-cool/10042100/","projectTitle":"Making History &Geography Cool","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Evans","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10412767"},{"teacherId":5145997,"projectId":10002516,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for donating to our classroom and allowing our students to use sensory tools to learn!\r\nOur students have intellectual disabilities, many cannot speak or walk, and using manipulatives and objects they can touch and feel, helps them to learn.\r\nOur classroom is more alive and interactive thanks to your generous donation.\r\nWe will be using these tools this month for sentence starters, writing activities on their eye-gaze devices, and to share and learn social skills.\r\nThank you again for your generosity and care for our students, they are amazing people and we all appreciate you helping them all to learn!","fullyFundedDate":1768234848637,"projectUrl":"project/feel-and-learn-sensory-tools-for-intelle/10002516/","projectTitle":"Feel and Learn Sensory Tools for Intellectually Disabled Students","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Boccia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5145997_orig.png?crop=565,565,x0,y122&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768370421461","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5145997"},{"teacherId":9928870,"projectId":9997206,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding our classroom project, your generosity has already made a measurable difference. These packets let students perfect their handwriting, highlight and annotate important information, and stay focused on the lesson. Recently, students used packet work to analyze primary-source excerpts from our Unit on Medieval Europe and the Middle Ages and practiced written short-answer responses that showed clearer organization and deeper evidence-based reasoning.\r\n\r\nThe whiteboards have become a classroom favorite for quick, formative checks and lively review games.
