It provides them with their own area and allows me the opportunity to teach personal space. The flexible seating has allowed my students the opportunity to continue to do work on the floor but have a comfortable yet flexible place to land. My students were so excited when they walked into the classroom and saw it. It has helped us have a meeting spot to focus our learning at. The students love to come to the rainbow rug to listen to stories, practice our phonics skills, do partner work and so much more. They love to build tall towers on it during free time and lay on it during rest time. It has helped with my classroom management because each student has a circle that is their spot to sit in. This has helped with keeping our hands to ourselves and learning personal space. The visuals of the circles has also helped my special needs student see where their space is on the rug. Overall, this classroom rug has really been a great addition to our classroom. We are so very grateful to all who helped us get this beautiful classroom rug!","fullyFundedDate":1733457952976,"projectUrl":"project/our-meeting-area/8804871/","projectTitle":"Our Meeting Area!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gibson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9766706"},{"teacherId":9715097,"projectId":8717097,"letterContent":"The large, outdoor blankets we received because of your generous donation were put to great use this fall! My 5th graders have enjoyed reading their library books, practicing math facts, and reviewing their states and capitals while stretched out on the grassy area outside our classroom door. Even though we are in the colder winter months, we still check the forecast for days when it might be possible to get some extra fresh air. We all look forward to the warmer spring months when we can again use our blankets on a daily basis.\r\n\r\nThese blankets are the perfect addition to our classroom because they conveniently fold up and zip closed for easy storage. The students have learned how to take good care of them so they will last for years to come! Enjoying the great outdoors and learning simultaneously has truly reinvigorated my students.
