When the boxes arrived and our secretary brought them down the kids cheered and wanted to open them immediately, so that is just what we did. The smiles and \"oohs\" and \"aahs\" were music to my teacher ears.\r\n\r\nWhen we first got the materials, the students got everything out and just experimented with it. In our current unit of of study, we are learning about cells and the organelles. The students used the materials you provided to create models of cells. They loved this and it made their learning much more concrete. \r\n\r\nI can't thank you enough for your generosity. It really made a difference in this science lab. When my students saw the secretary bringing the our lab, they were ecstatic. They begged to open the boxes immediately. We did just that!\r\n\r\n We immediately go the tanks set up with their new friends. The students love to gather around the tanks and watch the fish and frogs. Some of the students from our alternate curriculum program work to earn time to come and visit and hang out with the pets. Many of my students ask to come in early or stay late to help care for the animals. \r\n\r\n We also put up the lights that came with our order, boy was this popular. The students love it when I change the colors to coordinate with a unit we are learning.\r\n\r\n It was so generous for you to help support our classroom. At our school we struggle with absenteeism, so having an inviting classroom where kids want to be really helps out with that.
