As the shift in reading is changing, so must the education we provide for our children. With these books, it is the beginning of making decodable text available to our K-3 teachers- this could potentially service 350 students! Not only this year, but in the years to come! Teachers can check out these book packs from our book room and use them during their small groups in their classrooms. This gives our kids the opportunity to practice and apply phonics skills they have been learning. The books are short, kid-friendly and engaging, which is the perfect combination for a 15 minute small group. \r\n\r\nI've used the books in my small groups in intervention and my students have had a great experience with them. The stories are simple, yet exciting with friendly characters. They are quick reads for my kids and I love how they build the desire to read and build confidence in my struggling readers! They will ask to read some of the same books over and over.\r\n\r\nI will continue to add new decodable texts to our book rooms, available for bulk checkout for our students in small groups. I do enjoy this particular set of stories and will continue to look for other book packs from this company. Thanks for much for kick-starting this project!
