These supplies may seem simple, but they make a huge difference in our 8th grade classroom. My students were excited to see the new materials and especially loved having pencils that were ready to use and a sharpener that actually works! Having these supplies available means students can spend less time worrying about whether they have what they need and more time focusing on learning, creating, and participating in class.\r\n\r\nWe have already been putting the supplies to good use in our science classroom. My 8th graders regularly complete science activities that require them to write, draw models, organize their thinking, and create projects. During one recent activity, students were able to jump right into their work because they had the pencils and materials they needed. The glue sticks have also been helpful as students create and assemble their science projects and learning activities. It is exciting to see students take pride in their work and be able to focus on showing what they know.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building on our current science lessons as students investigate genetics, traits, and how characteristics are passed from parents to offspring. Students will be creating models, completing activities, and using their evidence to explain their scientific thinking. Your generosity helps make these hands-on learning experiences possible and gives my students the supplies they need to be successful. Thank you for supporting my 8th graders and helping make our classroom a place where they can learn, create, and grow!","fullyFundedDate":1778520385656,"projectUrl":"project/where-did-all-the-pencils-go/10214132/","projectTitle":"Where Did All the Pencils Go?","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Scales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6610049"},{"teacherId":8611398,"projectId":9327449,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support!
