They give my students more opportunities to practice important reading skills such as comprehension, making predictions, identifying key details, understanding characters, making connections, and retelling what they have read. Having a variety of books available also allows students to choose stories that interest them, which helps make reading more enjoyable and meaningful.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading happens every day. Students spend time reading independently, reading with partners, listening to read-alouds, and sharing their thoughts about books with classmates. I love seeing students browse our classroom library, recommend books to their friends, and get excited when they find a story they really enjoy. The new books have helped make our classroom library feel like an inviting place where students want to spend time.\r\n\r\nI have especially loved seeing students who were hesitant to read become excited about choosing a book. Having new books with different topics, characters, and reading levels gives every student an opportunity to find something they connect with. These books are helping my students grow as readers while also building confidence and a genuine love of reading.","fullyFundedDate":1778261956030,"projectUrl":"project/books-for-all-readers/10084760/","projectTitle":"Books for All Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Willis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10429251_orig.jpg?crop=1920,1920,x0,y160&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770309160500","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10429251"},{"teacherId":10429251,"projectId":10085003,"letterContent":"Our new classroom chairs have already made a big difference in our classroom! My students use them throughout the day during independent work, small-group activities, and partner learning. The chairs give students a comfortable and flexible place to work, collaborate, and stay engaged. One of my favorite moments has been watching students move their chairs together to work with a partner or group without having to rearrange our entire classroom.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they saw our new chairs! They immediately wanted to try them out and were thrilled to have comfortable, new seating in our classroom. They loved that the chairs made our classroom feel fresh and welcoming, and they were especially excited to have seating that gave them more flexibility throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using our new chairs as we work through our upcoming lessons and classroom projects. Students will use them during partner work, small-group instruction, independent learning, and collaborative projects. I am excited to see how these new seating options help my students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn each day.
