It's more alive, more hands-on, and more inclusive for all of my students.\r\n\r\nHow we're using the materials\r\nWe use these tools every single day, especially during small group time. Instead of just looking at words or numbers on paper, my students can actually touch and build their learning. In reading, they use letter tiles to sound out and create words, and in math, they use manipulatives like cubes and blocks to solve problems step by step.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, learning can feel overwhelming—but these tools slow things down and make it real. They help turn abstract ideas into something they can see and feel, which is so important for understanding .\r\n\r\nTheir reaction\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the excitement was immediate. They couldn't wait to open everything and try it out. What stood out to me the most was how students who usually hesitate were the first to jump in.\r\n\r\nOne moment I won't forget: a student who often struggles with math was using counting cubes and suddenly said, \"Oh... I get it now!\" That confidence—that little spark—is exactly why this project matters.\r\n\r\nWhat's next\r\nNow that we have these resources, we're building more routines around hands-on learning.
