We play them with rhythm play-along activities. There are many wonderful videos that have songs and rhythm notation to help us practice rhythms. We also use them to learn forms. The images I uploaded previously were from a dance we did to a march. We marched and played the drum for a section, hid behind the drums for a section, and danced with them as hats for a section. They had a blast.\r\nThe scarves have really given us more ways to express the music. We move musically as we copy the teacher and take turns being the leader. We also musically move freely to music to explore what sounds lead us to feel different ways.\r\nThe triangles and crow sounders have been great too! Our options to play keep getting better thanks to your generous support. It was evident almost immediately that the shape of the tables was going to allow collaboration, peer interaction, and material sharing. They've made such a difference in their learning and it is so nice to see the students sitting at tables that actually fit them. \r\n\r\nWe're excited to use the tables not only during whole group learning activities but at center time as well. Each table contains differentiated learning opportunities and provides a wonderful work surface. You should've seen the look on their faces as each class walked into my room the day I received them. Each class ambushed me with giddy questions and comments. \"Where did those come from?!\" \"When do we get to play them?\" \"There's enough for all of us!\" It was so fun to watch them light up as we played.\r\nWe even got them in time for some classes to feature them in our Spring program. It was great to be able to let more students play at the same time. In first grade this year, the students all got to take turns keeping the beat on two notes while we sang. The students that were the most steady got to perform for the concert and I because we had more instruments, I was able to let many kids play. Fifth grade had a song that was much more complicated with more than three separate parts being played at the same time. They knew their parts well, but it was going to be challenging with just the five instruments we had. I'm so glad we were able to have the new ones in time. They were clearly proud of their accomplishments when it all came together. The new resources have already made such a positive impact on our classroom, and it would not have been possible without your support. Your contribution has not only provided the materials needed to enhance our learning environment but has also made a lasting difference in the way our students engage with their education.\r\n\r\nThe shelving and bins are being utilized during center time, which allows me to manage small reading groups while the rest of the class works independently. The new organization helps keep materials in order, which is essential for a smooth and productive environment. Additionally, the extra seating provides a flexible space for students to collaborate or focus on individual tasks. The shelving is the perfect height to fit under the whiteboard, creating more space and keeping the classroom looking tidy.\r\n\r\nThe students were thrilled when they first saw the new resources. They immediately loved the bright colors of the shelving and bins. They were eager to help assemble the units and get everything set up. Now, they're always trying to sit on the cushion seats on top and explore different ways to use them during their activities.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, I plan to use the remaining bins to not only organize reading centers but also to set up math centers. The bins allow me to easily organize materials for differentiated instruction, ensuring that each student has the resources they need for their individual learning. This will help in personalizing lessons and ensuring that all students are engaged at their level.\r\n\r\n Thank you once again for your kindness and for helping create a space where learning can thrive.
