Your support has given our students a creative and engaging outlet where they can collaborate, build, and take pride in their accomplishments. Already, I've seen students eagerly working together on projects, excited to complete their builds and proudly display them in the library. These moments of joy and accomplishment would not have been possible without your kindness.\r\n\r\nOur library is more than just a place to study—it is a welcoming space where students can relax, explore new ideas, and express themselves creatively. The addition of Lego sets has provided another meaningful way for students to connect, problem-solve, and engage in hands-on learning. Thanks to you, they now have an opportunity to take a break from their busy days and immerse themselves in a project that sparks their curiosity and imagination.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and support. What an amazing adventure we had with our project. The third grade students visited the culinary classroom a total of four times to cook various things and learn some kitchen skills. The high school students visited the third grade classroom to present the lesson plans they had designed using both of the textbooks provided by this grant. \r\n\r\nWatching the high school students read to the third graders and interact with them, teaching them, about social emotional concepts gives us hope for our future leaders! The students all had a wonderful time working together in both settings. The Clothing and Textiles students made the aprons that you can see in the final photo and the Culinary students cooked with the third grade students for the final cook that was served to our authentic audience of administrators, teachers, and community members that you can see in the photos as well. The students prepared a tapas style meal in the fashion made popular by the chef who created World Central Kitchen, Jose Andres. \r\n\r\nThe students were all very excited to receive the books to take home at the end of the project! Some of the students have already reported using the cookbook recipes as well.
