I have already seen students become more engaged and excited to take ownership of their learning environment. The rug has also created a welcoming space where we can gather for morning meetings, read-alouds, class discussions, and community-building activities.\r\n\r\nThese materials have helped transform our classroom into a space that feels comfortable, inviting, and designed with students' needs in mind. Students are using the new Tinker Toys, Magna-Tiles, Stacking Stones, and LEGOs during STEM centers and \"Tinker Time\" to design structures, build towers and bridges, and work together to solve problems. One of our favorite moments so far has been watching students showing persistence, teamwork, and real engineering thinking.\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were beyond excited! Their faces lit up as they explored the bins, and they immediately began sharing ideas, asking questions, and collaborating. Several students who are usually hesitant to participate jumped right in, confident and engaged as they built and experimented.\r\nNext, students will use these materials to support our science and math lessons by exploring balance, stability, and structure. They'll continue to plan, build, test, and reflect on their designs, strengthening both STEM skills and communication.
