Students regularly check out books, read them, and discuss them with other students and me. Our book review bulletin board will be up soon, so students can see what other the students are saying about our newly added books.\r\nEvery day, we take 20 minutes to read in class, and I am noticing improvements in reading fluency when students read aloud, as well as greater depth of understanding in students' answers to text-dependent questions.\r\nAdditionally, I encourage students to read a variety of genres, and the newly donated books have provided fresh reads in poetry, realistic fiction, informational text, and historical fiction, with a view into several relevant cultures that had previously been underrepresented in our class library. The donated dividers are a great help in clearly displaying genres. Students can easily find the genres they are looking for.\r\nThank you for your generous donation. With your help, students have been able to read independently or with assistance titles that they love. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, your support of the bookbinding machine has given us the ability to get books back into students' hands that would have originally taken over 72 hours to repair.
