As a result, many students gained newfound inspiration in the rest of the Medieval unit. \r\n\r\nThis project wouldn't have been possible without your support. When the box of supplies arrived to our room, the students were beyond excited to open it and see all of the wonderful new tools for our classroom. \r\n\r\nStudents were most excited about the black privacy folders. These are used on a weekly, if not daily, basis for each student. Students use these to have their own space and area to concentrate during tests and independent work. It has been very impactful to see students take initiative of their own studies and when they realize they are easily distracted, they grab a folder to place at their table spots to use as a \"do not disturb\" while working. \r\n\r\nThe 1 inch binders have also become a regular use in our classroom. With your donation, each student is able to have their own binder to keep their weekly/monthly creative writing pieces organized and nicely kept. At the end of the school year, each student will have a beautiful selection of writings to build their very own writing portfolio to show how far they have grown throughout their third-grade year. \r\n\r\nAnother very impactful tool has been the flashlights and timers. These are also used on a daily basis for different reading fluency practices. Students enjoy having the ability to have their own reading tools to help them track their individual reading goals. They also use the tools as different reading trackers while working on their fluency skills. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generous donation to our third grade class. Each tool has been extremely useful in helping our students become more independent and has also allowed for the ability for students to continue to build upon their reading and writing skills.","fullyFundedDate":1727458451606,"projectUrl":"project/farmers-3rd-grade-goodies/8816291/","projectTitle":"Farmer's 3rd Grade Goodies!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Farmer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9746124"},{"teacherId":9746123,"projectId":8794865,"letterContent":"Thank you for funding our Literacy project! Students had a blast opening the flashlights and pillows and creating their very own Fluency Toolkits. Being part of the unboxing gave them a sense of ownership and it has been so cool to see how hard they're working with their new tools.\r\n\r\nEach day in our classroom the students get with their partner and read a fluency passage in a fun way. They have their own toolkits, which they build at the beginning of the year. Adding the flashlights was a great addition! It has given them another reason to look forward to our reading fluency time. Some of my students have great difficulty with reading aloud and getting to do so with the aid of things like fidgets and flashlights and cushions to move to different parts of the room, have given them a new outlook on fluency time. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, our classroom has polished cement floors and many of the students who enjoy learning outside their desks have had a tough time. The cushions have given them a great opportunity to grab a clipboard and move their bodies to a different part of the room while they work!","fullyFundedDate":1726622083222,"projectUrl":"project/building-fluency-and-creative-writing/8794865/","projectTitle":"Building Fluency and Creative Writing","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vance","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9746123"},{"teacherId":7182490,"projectId":8712111,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the generous donation of reMarkable 2 tablet to my 7th and 8th grade students. Your support has truly made a remarkable impact on their learning experience, and I wanted to take a moment to share how these devices have transformed our classroom.\r\nThe reMarkable 2 tablet has been an invaluable tool, especially math, where creating complex symbols and equations can be difficult on traditional computers. The tablets have enabled my students to take clear, organized notes, effortlessly incorporating math symbols, graphs, and sketches, which would otherwise be challenging to represent digitally. This has significantly enhanced their ability to engage with the material and process complex concepts more effectively.\r\nMoreover, the ability to easily upload their notes to Google Classroom has been a game-changer. It has fostered a collaborative learning environment where students can access their peers' notes, review class materials, and reinforce their understanding. The instant sharing of notes also allows for more efficient feedback and the opportunity to learn from one another, promoting a deeper sense of community within the classroom.\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students have access to tools that support their academic growth in new and exciting ways. Your donation has empowered them to take charge of their learning and develop skills that will serve them well both in and outside of the classroom. I am incredibly grateful for your contribution to their education and the positive influence it has had on their academic journeys.\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and commitment to supporting education.
