Our school community is made up of mostly low income families. Many of my students have lives filled with uncertainty. The one thing that they are able to rely on is coming to school each day and entering a welcoming classroom where they will be supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Students are able to thrive when they feel that they matter and have a teacher who takes an interest in their future. I make it my goal each day to connect with students and make them feel valuable. My class needs the appropriate materials to prepare for the 21st century workforce. With your support, my students will have access to engaging lessons, quality classroom materials, and technology. These classroom experiences will motivate them and provide important skills to be used in high school and beyond.
