I love that there is a Panda Express in our community. I love that we can support your store and you supported my class. As I mentioned in the request, these went to my gifted and talented after school program. I am also sharing them with the 1st grade team. My students were so excited!!! I had opened the boxes into 3 large bins. They couldn't wait to get started building and creating. \r\n\r\nThe best part is that the Legos that were purchased are just blocks. No directions to build specific structures. So the result was lots of thinking and use of imagination. \r\n\r\nThis purchase will continue to challenge and inspire many students. With your donations and the match from Mazda North American Operations I was able to fund my project. I took over the gifted and talented program this year and I did not have much to work with in the way of building supplies. I have 15 students ranging in grade from 1st to 4th. So it was important for me to request materials that would engage a range of ages. \r\n\r\n I introduced the air dry clay first. The kids were really excited to create. They used their imaginations and created Items that reminded them of the seasons. In the future, they will have the opportunity to choose clay in free choice. The clay tools were a big hit too. Yesterday, the students got to use the keva planks. I was very impressed with their creativity and engineering skills. They are already asking to use them again next week!!\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping me supply tools for my students to help engage their creativity and critical thinking. They especially loved the Pete the Cat collection. The daily practice journals gave my students more opportunities to practice their skills. \r\n\r\nFinally, the book about Lulu going to the grocery store enhanced the grocery unit.
