My students love to go look at the maps during free moments and find places they have been to or would like to go. I love listening to their stories and hearing the excitement of the other students when they ask about their trip. It has been a great conversation starter and is really helping to build our classroom community. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, having the maps has brought our social studies lessons to the next level. I love being able to go to the maps and mark on them with the dry erase markers. It really helps the students connect what we are reading to what they already know about the world.
