These tools allow students to access the full expressive range of mallet percussion instruments like marimbas, vibraphones, and xylophones. With them, students are no longer just striking notes—they're shaping sound. They are learning to control tone, volume, and articulation, discovering how rhythm and melody intertwine to create music that is both precise and deeply emotional.\r\n\r\nThis project has not only enhanced students' technical abilities but has also inspired a deeper appreciation for the subtleties of musical expression. As they experiment with dynamic contrast and phrasing, students are developing coordination, listening skills, and a more nuanced musical ear. These are essential qualities for any well-rounded musician, and they contribute to greater confidence and creativity in performance. Most importantly, the access to these instruments and tools makes music feel more accessible and meaningful to every student who picks up a mallet.","fullyFundedDate":1755707853772,"projectUrl":"project/stick-it-to-the-beat/9508681/","projectTitle":"Stick It to the Beat","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Brooks","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1056605_orig.png?crop=1034,1034,x119,y216&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1558458976709","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1056605"},{"teacherId":9740905,"projectId":8756548,"letterContent":"My students and I are forever grateful for your donation to my classroom and our projects. My advanced biology students will be able to use the dissecting kits to properly dissect different specimens that we learn about during the year, including earthworms, crayfish, dogfish sharks, and even minks! The rest of the supplies will help support my classroom and allow students necessary items to use.\r\n\r\nThe students are incredibly excited to use the new equipment during their labs!
