My students have been loving science this year and are really engaged with their science journals that we have been creating. The glue has been put to use and the flexible seating options have been a huge hit. I love hearing students talk about how much they love the labs that we are doing and starting to ask more questions about additional labs they would want to do. It has been cool to also hear them share with their parents what we have learned and how they have taken their learning from our classroom home.","fullyFundedDate":1757011385131,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-refresh/9469688/","projectTitle":"Classroom Refresh","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Forsythe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8800173"},{"teacherId":9747835,"projectId":8777861,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of books to our 7th-grade English Language Arts classroom! Your support has truly transformed our reading experience and made a lasting impact on my students' learning and love for literature.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, we've introduced exciting new texts that engage students and build critical reading skills. These books have become tools for teaching essential lessons like identifying themes, analyzing character development, exploring different perspectives, and connecting literature to real-life experiences. Students are practicing close reading, making inferences, and engaging in thoughtful discussions—all skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students have access to books that reflect their diverse interests and experiences, fostering both a love for reading and a deeper understanding of the world around them. The graphic novels have been a hit and the most read books in my collection! The kids have been loving the sports books specifically because I was lacking that interest area in my collection. The other book series that has kids sticking their noses in books are the Wings of Fire series. I had a few of the chapter books but they are a little intimidating of a read so the graphic novels have been perfect!\r\nI have also been loving how easy it is to use the mini laminator! This tool has made it so easy to make practice activities that I can reuse every year. I'm not a big fan of doing a worksheet then eventually the students throw it away so the laminator has helped me create practice activities that are more hands on and collaborative. The kids really enjoy word sorts and matching activities as you can see in the pictures!","fullyFundedDate":1726268406260,"projectUrl":"project/never-too-late-to-love-reading/8764448/","projectTitle":"Never Too Late To Love Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gentry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9743039"},{"teacherId":8337847,"projectId":8728316,"letterContent":"I am writing to share the profound impact your generous donation has had on my students and their creative journeys. thank you for your support, they have had the opportunity to bring their stories to life through the use of the paint and other materials, and the results have been nothing short of inspiring. \r\nOn behalf of the students, I want to thank you for making this experience possible. your support has made a lasting difference in their lives, and we are incredibly grateful for your generosity. Within the first week of receiving the books, at least three students noticed and immediately asked if they could check them out. The most popular books choices were between Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series and I Survived Series. My boys specifically gravitated toward them which was a relief due to most of my boys needing more encouragement to read in general. \r\nCurrently, we are reading, The Giver, as a class, during instruction time.
