Your support has had an immediate and positive impact, allowing our students to engage in conversations about diversity and culture that stretch beyond the confines of our small town. Through these books, they've been able to explore new perspectives, fostering a deeper understanding of the world around them. I saw so much enjoyment as they studied other cultures and locations around the world. They were able to Google Map the settings of some of these sets, and they were amazed! \r\nThe students have truly embraced the joy of reading in a way I never expected. With the new literature sets in hand, we have had the pleasure of reading in hammocks or outdoors on the playground. The fresh air and the relaxing environment created the perfect atmosphere for them to dive into the stories. It has been wonderful to see them so engaged and excited about the characters and plots, discovering a love for reading they hadn't experienced before. They usually read for AR points, but with this experience, I was able to allow them to read just to enjoy.\r\nLooking ahead, our next step is to have the students create dioramas based on the books they've read. They are incredibly excited about this creative project, and it's giving them something to look forward to after our state testing. I regret you won't be able to see the projects as this package was due before the last step of our project, but I am forever grateful! Your contribution has not only provided new books, but it has also helped motivate them to complete their reading goals with enthusiasm.
