Because of your kindness, we were able to provide our students with a brand-new washer and dryer, along with essential items that will make a real and lasting difference in their daily lives.\r\n\r\nMany of our students face challenges outside of school that can make it difficult to focus on learning. Clean clothes and basic necessities may seem simple, but for some of our kids, they can mean the difference between confidence and discomfort, or even between attending school and staying home. Thanks to you, our students now have access to resources that help them feel safe, cared for, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nYour generosity sends a powerful message to our students—that they are seen, valued, and supported by people who believe in their potential. It means so much to them, to our staff, and to the families we serve.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your incredible support. My students and I appreciate your generosity. My students had a blast creating clay bowls on the pottery wheel that you provided. \r\n It is a slow process to let each student have a chance to use the pottery wheel. The wheel does require one on one instruction time with beginner level students. I chose my smaller fifth grade class to begin on the wheel for this reason. The oldest students with the smallest class made sense for this kind of instruction. I would get all of the students working on a project and then call students one by one to use the wheel. I was able to get two or three students done per class. \r\n So it ended up taking a month to get all of the fifth grade a turn on the pottery wheel. The results were awesome! The kids were fascinated with the whole process. They couldn't wait to show other students and teachers what they had created! They were so proud and it showed through on their smiles! \r\n I am on to start the next class, but I guarantee the fifth graders will ask every class, when they will be able to do the pottery wheel again. I know I will have to buy a lot more clay for next year!
