I originally asked for the mailboxes assuming it would positively impact the organization of the classroom, but I didn't anticipate how much it would improve my students' classroom experience. As I mentioned in the description of the project, the original system was messy and chaotic. I would tell the students to find their magazines and head to the carpet for instruction. This would then erupt into the chaos of students digging through red buckers on their desks trying to find their magazines. They would get torn and destroyed after just a couple days. Now, that is no longer the case.\r\n\r\nNow, I tell the students to get their magazines and the transition is very smooth. They know exactly where their magazines are because they each have a mailbox slot with their name on it. The students are even able to store unfinished assignments in their mailboxes for easy access. I have two students who work together as \"Mail People\" to deliver graded assignments to student mailboxes as well.
