Your contributions have paved the way to more learning in our classroom!\r\n\r\nThe new pencil sharpener has allowed us the luxury of sharpening pencils quickly. Our old sharpener only worked intermittently and we would have to turn it over and hope it started working again. It took up a lot of time in our room.\r\n\r\nWe also have enjoyed our hot glue guns. We can make our projects more easily in our Flight and Space class. Our glue actually holds now! \r\n\r\nThe students were so excited to see all of the items that you helped fund! They knew how much time and effort it took without the items you helped us get, and realized that we are going to be able to utilize our time more efficiently and our projects will hold together after we let go of them. Flight and Space is part of our STEAM academy, and it's our first year. We have used more supplies than anticipated, according to specifications given in the curriculum. Your generous contribution has helped our classroom by providing supplies that are vital to our projects within the curriculum.\r\n\r\nOur projects are not only fun and engaging, they give us real work scenarios and experiences that guarantee students the opportunity to problem solve and gain experience with critical thinking. Also, it brings light to the careers that are open to them in regards to flight and even space/astronomy.\r\n\r\nA couple of fun projects you've helped facilitate are the space food project, where students study ways astronauts nourish themselves upon the International Space Station. The other porject that students have the most fun with, that you've made possible, is our clean water systems, where students have to engineer and build their own water filtration system.
