We began with our first lesson, \"What Is Theatre? / Observation,\" where students learned that theatre is the art of telling stories through acting—and that great performers start by observing the world around them. Even with a delayed start and several absences due to illness, participation is growing. This week, more than half of our young actors attended rehearsal and completed a read-through of Bad Auditions by Bad Actors by Ian McWethy, the play they chose for their debut performance.\r\n\r\nAlready, I see their confidence and literacy improving. Students who needed help reading aloud are gaining fluency and expression through script work and collaboration. The microphones, materials, and play rights funded by this project ensure every child can be seen, heard, and supported.
