It was my original intention to allow my students to experience 3D printing for the first time. However, by the time I received the donations, all of the 3D printers were out of stock on the Donors Choose page.\r\n\r\nWhile I was a little disappointed that I couldn't order the 3D printer, thankfully Donors Choose give you the option to order other things that might be similar. I decided to try ordering a 3D pen that allows kids to draw with filament. We are still experimenting with how this can fully be utilized in our classroom, but we have had fun playing around with it! I have lots of ideas of how we can use it--from adding a dimensional texture to art, to practicing writing, to working on shapes, and the list goes on.\r\n\r\nWe were also able to a number of other fun things to our classroom, such as a flexible race car track (quite a hit!), some art supplies, and a digital microscope.
