They are able now to browse more independently by genre and interest. This means they spend less time wandering and pulling books out because all they could see before was the spines, and they can pick their books and then have more time to sit and read in the library before going back to class. It has been exciting to see some pull out books that they didn't even realize we had because again, they had been spine out and some of the easier reading books often are so thin the spine doesn't do anything to grab a student's attention. We have a couple readers that we struggle to get them to check anything out, and they looked at the shelves with the face-outs and found something right away.","fullyFundedDate":1762400803917,"projectUrl":"project/covers-out-confidence-up-face-out-bins/9852435/","projectTitle":"Covers Out, Confidence Up: Face-Out Bins for High School Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mandina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9111994_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x0,y15&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701967099753","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9111994"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77163","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1287,"numTeachers":89,"percentFrplEligible":68,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":53,"percentWhite":18,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":69.2,"schoolId":77163,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Raytown High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Raytown High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/raytown-school-district-c2/raytown-senior-high-school/77163"}
