The visual schedules help them understand what is happening next. When students are able to visually see what activity comes next, they are able to transition more successfully. \r\n\r\nI am also using visuals to help reinforce appropriate behavior throughout the day. I keep them on a binder ring and wear them on my lanyard. This ensures that I have access to the visuals at all times. \r\n\r\nThe laminator and laminating sheets allowed me to reinforce the visuals, making them more durable. While I did have to choose a few items that weren't a part of my original request, each of the sensory and social emotional learning objects have been met with excitement. I couldn't have created new spaces and activities without your generous support!\r\n\r\nOne of the most favorite items of all is the light wall. My students love going to the Calm Corner to touch the lights and make them turn colors. Oftentimes, they will find the color of how they feel based upon our Zones of Regulation. Another highly used item is the new soft rug. My kids will lay on that after picking a special book. They feel calm and centered. The sensory squares are great tools when a student needs proprioceptive input. The items for our sensory bins and table activities are so helpful as well. The water toys are a huge hit, and I get asked weekly if we will have a water table out! The balance beam and stepping stones allow for much-needed movement in the classroom, too. We play games like \"Stop and Go\" or fun music as the students are moving throughout the obstacle courses we create. \r\n\r\nI could go on and on about how the items you helped me acquire have impacted my students.
