All of the students lit up with joy when they saw the new lights, especially the jelly fish lamp!! some fixated on it while others looked every once in a while and smiled. One child in specific following the jelly fish with their finger and giggling. as for the floor lamps they've shown very useful for the older students needing a spotlight on their space but also having the rest of the lamp heads to illuminate the rest of the classroom. I am hoping this upcoming school year they will be just as happy with these lights as I still am!! There's something about brand-new materials that makes them sit up a little straighter and want to do their very best work. Several students even commented on how nice the paper felt compared to what we had been using, which was a small but meaningful moment.\r\n\r\nWe've already started using the materials across multiple grade levels. Younger students have been using play-doh to explore shapes and build fine motor skills, while older students have been creating detailed drawings and experimenting with color using the new markers and scratch art paper. The glue and quality paper have made a big difference in collage projects, allowing students to plan, revise, and take more pride in their finished pieces.\r\n\r\nThe cleaning supplies have also made a huge impact. Students are able to work freely and creatively, knowing they can clean up easily, and they've taken more ownership of keeping our shared space respectful and ready for the next class.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our classroom feels more complete, more functional, and more inspiring. Students are more confident, more willing to take creative risks, and more engaged in their work.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we'll continue using these materials in upcoming projects that focus on creativity, problem-solving, and personal expression.
