My students and I are now in the middle of opening our fibers studio, and the kids are so excited for the opportunity to learn how to use the new sewing machine and needle felting materials.\r\n\r\nOne student, in particular, has been waiting a long time to learn to use the sewing machine. Since I begin using the machines with 3rd grade students, my second graders look forward to the following year when they will get a chance. This student has been eagerly awaiting his day to use the machine for a year, and it was pure joy for both of us when he did! \r\n\r\nThank you for making moments like these possible. It is crucial for students to try new things, problem solve, and explore their ideas in art.
