The stools have quickly become a favorite and are used every single day across all subjects. During reading time, students grab a stool and gather in small groups, creating a more collaborative and comfortable environment. One of my favorite moments was during a recent writing activity—students chose their seats, spread out around the room, and stayed engaged and focused far longer than I've seen before. The freedom to move while learning has made such a positive difference.\r\n\r\nWhen the stools and floor seats first arrived, the excitement was unforgettable! Students walked in with wide eyes, immediately asking, \"Are those for us?!\" They couldn't wait to try them out. There was so much joy as they tested different seating options, and it instantly created a sense of ownership and pride in our classroom space. Even students who typically struggle to sit still were eager to get started and remained engaged.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, we're able to continue building independence and responsibility in our classroom. Students are learning how to choose seating that helps them do their best work, especially as we move into more collaborative projects. Right now, we are working on group-based research and writing activities, and the flexible seating allows students to comfortably work together, share ideas, and stay focused. Moving forward, we will continue using these seating options to support flexible grouping, hands-on learning, and student choice.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students not just new seats, but new opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive every single day!","fullyFundedDate":1769177897957,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-every-learnerone-seat-at-a-t/9984877/","projectTitle":"Supporting Every Learner—One Seat at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. O'Guin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4680769_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674004864572","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-oguin"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_76608","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":332,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":14,"percentWhite":69,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":9,"gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"11.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":87.0,"schoolId":76608,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Alma Schrader Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Alma Schrader Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/cape-girardeau-school-district-63/alma-schoolrader-elementary-school/76608"}
