I used the gift cards to purchase a Forensics curriculum from Teachers Pay Teachers. This curriculum has wonderful lessons, structured notes and powerpoints, as well as creative labs. My students have used the fabric and fibers kit to identify suspects in a simulated crime scene, as well as do various microscope identification labs. We haven't had a chance to use the blood typing kit yet, but this lesson will come later on in the year. The students come in excited everyday, wondering if we have a case to solve, new pieces of evidence to learn how to collect, or items that they have to analyze or test. I can't thank each of you enough for your kindness and generosity. Watching students get excited with hands-on activities, and being engaged daily, is one of the greatest joys of my job. Thank you again for helping to give my students the tools they need to be as successful as possible and have a fun year of learning!","fullyFundedDate":1753464945397,"projectUrl":"project/forensics-in-the-classroom-hands-on/9466149/","projectTitle":"Forensics in the Classroom-Hands On!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Barr","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10080883"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77512","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":282,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":96,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":77512,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Alton Junior Senior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Alton Junior Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/alton-school-district-r4/alton-junior-senior-high-school/77512"}
