The students were so excited to unpack them and pick a color, and I was excited to share the news with my colleagues. The purchase of these materials have helped me prepare lessons for my students that will benefit them in the future as well as exercise the mind and body. \r\n Health care is stressful and hard work. Therefore, educating health science students about ways to cope with stress is important. One day, I began class with a discussion about how health care professionals must find ways to cope with the amount of stress on their bodies and their minds. While watching a beginner's yoga video, students were able to participate in a ten minute yoga involving gentle stretches and meditation. After the video, students expressed the feelings of relaxation and a clear mind to start class. \r\n Utilizing the yoga mats with classroom instruction has been engaging and fun. One day, the students performed active range of motion exercises on the floor using the yoga mats. This was a great review of content and use of materials.
