When the boxes of new supplies arrived, the whole class was thrilled! My students could hardly contain their curiosity as we unboxed everything from the Plant Light House and Ward's Science cell charts to the microscope slide sets and seed kits. Seeing their eyes light up as they realized these hands-on tools were meant entirely for them. Having access to high-quality equipment immediately changed the dynamic of our classroom, turning textbook concepts into tangible, living experiences.\r\n\r\nThe new aquaponic system and lighting setups have already transformed how we learn every day. Recently, our class put the Hydroponic Garden Aquaponic Fish Tank to work in a project combining fish culture and plant growth. The students carefully planted microgreens in the self-cleaning sprout trays while housing goldfish in the tank below. Watching the symbiotic relationship between the goldfish and the sprouting greens unfold right before their eyes was incredible. Using our \"Sprout & Grow\" window viewers and microscope slides, students examined root development and cell structures up close, connecting microscopic details to macro-level agriculture. The project truly brought agricultural science to life in a way reading alone never could.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to take our next steps with the extensive collection of survival vegetable seeds. Students are currently designing experiments using our Plant Light House to test optimal germination rates across different plant varieties. Next, they will map out full crop-rotation schedules and transition these seedlings into our larger growing systems. Thank you for opening up a whole new world of hands-on learning for my Diversified Agriculture students.
