The students in AP Literature and Composition are reading the first novel, All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. Anthony Doerr has written a novel with a setting in World War II, Paris, France. The author's deft hand allows the interweaving of two stories, one of Marie-Laure and Werner. The students are enjoying the novel and appreciate you thinking of our class.\r\n\r\nThe novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaleo Hosseini allows students to experience the setting of Afghanistan for the past 30 years. It is a story of two generations of characters brought jarringly together by the tragic sweep of war. The students will get a chance to read a novel set in a time that is relevant to today's politics. Your donation has allowed me to extend the novel list of reading for both classes.
