They gathered around to watch as we set everything up, asking questions about how the filter works and why the basking rock is important for our pet's health. Right away, this became a learning moment as we talked about what animals need to survive and thrive, connecting it to our science lessons on habitats.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions were priceless. They cheered when the tank was filled, and many of them commented on how much happier and more active the pet seemed right away. They take so much pride in helping care for the animals, and now they feel like real scientists observing behavior and changes in the environment. The pets have quickly become a favorite part of the classroom, and the students love checking in on them throughout the day.\r\n\r\nWith these new resources, we are planning ongoing projects where students track daily observations of our pets, such as eating habits, activity levels, and time spent basking. This allows them to practice responsibility, attention to detail, and care for living creatures.
