Students who are normally quiet jumped right into the conversation, collaborating with their peers, sharing concerns and taking active roles in their learning. The resources have transformed our classroom environment into a much more interactive and hands-on space.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our next steps involve taking these skills even further. Students will be using these materials to build their own independent projects over the coming weeks, presenting their solutions to the class and applying what they've learned to our upcoming unit. When the students saw the snacks, they were so excited. And I was just as excited knowing that I was able to help a hungry student. It wasn't a whole lot, but knowing that they were able to put something in their stomach, made all the difference. There was a variety of snacks, so they had a choice to choose from. The students were able to function and they were happier when they were able to get a snack. Often times, they would be hungry, drained and had a lack of energy, but the snacks made a difference. The students are so excited to assist with cleaning the room. It leaves the room and their space smelling so clean and so fresh. It makes such a difference when the students are eager and willing to assist. With being able to clean daily has helped to cut down on the spread of germs around them.
