It has become a safe space that protects student dignity and supports learning every single day. Students are using the station for hygiene items, and personal care products that allow them to return to class feeling confident and focused. I have seen firsthand how having immediate access to these essentials prevents embarrassment, reduces time away from instruction, and helps students regulate both emotionally and physically. What may seem like a small item to some can completely change the trajectory of a student's day. \r\nWhen students first saw the Refresh Station, many were quiet but visibly relieved. Some expressed gratitude right away, while others simply smiled. Over time, it has become normalized and stigma-free. Students know they can come in discreetly, take what they need, and head back to class with their heads held high. That sense of security has strengthened trust and created meaningful moments of connection that go far beyond basic supplies. \r\nBecause of you, our students are better able to focus on learning instead of worrying about unmet basic needs. The next step is continuing to build awareness so every student knows this resource is available, while also teaching self-care and person responsibility.
