I especially love that I was able to provide books that my students felt comfortable with. My older students gained so much confidence reading to some of my younger students who got a chance to engage in a peer reading experience. I love how they got a chance to encourage each other and showcase their independence and growth in becoming confident and capable readers. \r\nExperiences like this make a world of difference and opens so many doors for creativity and growth that can really shape the impact that learning to read can have. \r\nI am beyond grateful for the opportunity to support my students and share this experience with them, and it's all thanks to donors like you.","fullyFundedDate":1773876056507,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-library/10142968/","projectTitle":"Classroom Library","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mitchell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9887982"},{"teacherId":6227938,"projectId":9875879,"letterContent":"The color printer has become an essential learning tool in our classroom. While many people use printers at home, in our classroom it supports deeper learning by allowing students to create, revise, and present high-quality work that reflects their thinking. My students use technology like Canva to design presentations that organize their ideas, incorporate visuals, and explain complex concepts. Printing these projects in color helps them clearly see connections, especially when using color to represent meaning, categorize information, or highlight key ideas. This process strengthens both their critical thinking and communication skills.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is seeing their digital work come to life. When their projects are printed in full color, it validates their effort and creativity. They are especially proud of how professional their work looks, and they are eager to share it with classmates, teachers, and family members. This has increased motivation and engagement across the board.\r\n\r\nOne of my students, who often struggles with confidence and tends to shut down when work feels challenging, really connected with this technology. Through creating his Canva presentation, he was able to revise his work multiple times without frustration, and seeing the final printed version gave him a strong sense of accomplishment. He began taking more academic risks and showed greater persistence. Experiences like this demonstrate how this resource supports not just academic growth, but also confidence and student ownership of learning.","fullyFundedDate":1769192045751,"projectUrl":"project/enhanced-learning-and-vibrant-instructio/9875879/","projectTitle":"Enhanced Learning and Vibrant Instructional Printing Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gates","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6227938"},{"teacherId":9887982,"projectId":9574831,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our Brain Food project. Your generous gift has made a real difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nEach day, students have access to snacks that aid in their focus and motivation to learn and thrive in class. They are available to any student who needs them for extra fuel throughout the day, a token for their hard work and concentration, or even to give to a friend for a good deed. \r\n\r\nWhen the snack area was set up, the students were thrilled and immediately appreciative. As you know, children at this age are rapidly growing, and so are their appetites. Several students have approached me unsatisfied with the amount of food they've had for breakfast and were unable to wait for lunch, so this helps fill them until they can eat again. \r\n\r\nBecause of your support, students experienced a more comfortable learning environment where basic needs are met, and attention can be directed toward learning. You helped make our classroom a place where students feel cared for and ready to participate.\r\n\r\nThank you again — your contribution supports learning, well‑being, and a classroom culture of care.","fullyFundedDate":1758202977549,"projectUrl":"project/brain-food/9574831/","projectTitle":"Brain Food","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mitchell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9887982"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16732","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":337,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":45,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":32,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"1 - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"14.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":26.5,"schoolId":16732,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Gorenflo Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Gorenflo Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/mississippi/biloxi-public-school-district/gorenflo-elementary-school/16732"}
