Right now, supplies such as robotics kits, coding tools, craft materials, and technology resources can quickly become difficult to manage in a classroom that serves many learners throughout the day. With proper storage, students will be able to independently access materials, safely return equipment, and take ownership of their learning environment.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, who come from an economically disadvantaged and predominantly African American rural community in Mississippi, school is where they gain access to resources and experiences they may not have at home. An organized makerspace means more time spent learning, creating, and collaborating — and less time spent searching for supplies or working in cluttered conditions.\r\n\r\nThese storage solutions will do more than hold materials; they will help build a classroom culture of responsibility, pride, and creativity. When students walk into a space that is neat, functional, and designed with their success in mind, it sends a powerful message: their ideas matter, their work matters, and they deserve a space built for innovation.\r\n\r\nYour support helps transform our classroom into a true computer science makerspace where every student can explore, create, and thrive.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students' futures and helping us build a space where learning is both organized and inspiring.","fullyFundedDate":1768584056394,"projectUrl":"project/organized-accessible-storage-cabinet/10018947/","projectTitle":"Organized & Accessible: Storage Cabinet + Carts for CS Makerspace","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Meadows","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8727566_orig.png?crop=1200,1200,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694313991736","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8727566"},{"teacherId":10039335,"projectId":9366583,"letterContent":"On behalf of our entire school community, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for you generous gift of new seating for our library. It has turned a once-closed door into an open invitation for students to read, explore, and dream again.\r\n\r\nAlready, we see the impact of your generosity. The new tables and chairs have created a welcoming place for students to gather and share. Students who once had no quiet area to read now settle into collaborative seating to enjoy stories together. The refreshed space is also being used as a calming environment to support math interventions, offering students a peaceful setting to focus and learn. Many children have expressed excitement about visiting the library for the first time since before COVID-19—some even choosing to come here instead of going to the gym for extra PE or playing basketball.
