By allowing kindergarten students to learn in ways that best meet their individual needs! When children can choose seating that supports their comfort and movement, they are often more engaged and better able to participate in lessons. During Meet the Teacher Night, the excitement was evident as students eagerly explored the different seating choices and couldn't wait to try each chair. Parents also shared positive feedback, commenting on how fun, creative, and inviting the classroom looked with its flexible seating options. This enthusiasm created a positive first impression and helped build excitement for learning before the school year even began. \r\n\r\nI know the flexible seating will have a positive impact on student focus and the overall classroom environment. All students naturally need opportunities to move throughout the day, and flexible seating provides appropriate ways to meet that need without disrupting learning. Over time, students learn to take ownership of their learning by recognizing which type of seating helps them focus best during different activities, whether they are working independently, collaborating with classmates, or participating in whole-group instruction. Having a choice gives students a voice in how they learn, fostering independence, self-awareness, and responsibility from an early age. As a result, students are more likely to stay attentive, collaborate respectfully with classmates, and make thoughtful decisions that support their success. \r\n\r\nAn engaging learning environment like this lays the foundation for lifelong learning by helping every child feel confident, valued, and prepared to reach their full potential.\r\nI am so grateful for your donation and partnership to make this a possibility! I look forward to a year of learning and growing together.","fullyFundedDate":1778868708276,"projectUrl":"project/cube-chair-seating-for-whole-group/10286026/","projectTitle":"Cube Chair Seating for Whole Group","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Neu","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7292127"},{"teacherId":10241023,"projectId":9821469,"letterContent":"My class just went through three weeks of state testing. The students loved coming up to the table and picking out what color they wanted to use that day. \r\n\r\nThese days, we do so much work on iPads. It's hard to use your finger for everything! I have ADHD and have anywhere from 2-6 students in my class each year who also have it. To be able to help them thrive by allowing them to stand or sit or walk around during the day has been priceless. \r\n\r\nMany teachers who come in to my room comment on the standing desks and how cool they are. In the past I have been able to do one or two things from the website and have loved it, but wasn't able to explore the resource due to the price. Have the subscription has been great. We are able to do challenges as a class, as well as give students something that they can do on their own when their work is finished. It's better than having them fool around when they have nothing to do. \r\n\r\nThe coolest part of doing the BreakoutEDU challenges more often, is to see students who may struggle in some academic areas, excel in problem solving. It has been the kids who I never would have expected that are the most successful at figuring out the puzzles. That is so great for their confidence and for their peers to see them in a different light. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for helping me give students a different way to think and a different way to thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1757537267628,"projectUrl":"project/digital-problem-solving-fun/9685961/","projectTitle":"Digital Problem Solving Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ohmann","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10241023_orig.jpg?crop=1557,1557,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757035561367","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10241023"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93813","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":617,"numTeachers":53,"percentFrplEligible":41,"percentAsian":11,"percentBlack":14,"percentWhite":45,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":18,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":8,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":85.6,"schoolId":93813,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eagle Creek Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eagle Creek Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/minnesota/shakopee-public-schools/eagle-creek-elementary-school/93813"}
