We would not have had the full access to headphones that we now enjoy. We have used them for assessments. We have used them for daily work with digital libraries. We have even had times when we were able to use them for enjoying music during work or projects.\r\n \r\nWe have used headphones for \r\nassessments that have spoken directions, crucial for English language learners. This includes the ACCESS test, which is a yearly assessment of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The microphone feature and noice cancelling ear pads were perfect for this. Additionally, we use them for FAST testing, which monitors reading progress throughout the year. \r\n\r\nFor class work, we use them for read-to-me stories on the Epic app. Students can listen to books at any level, as well as short informational videos. \r\n\r\nStudents have been given the opportunity to use the headphone to listen to music while doing work. For some students this helps them focus or to block out environmental sounds.\r\n\r\nThank you for these high quality headphones. They have met a variety of needs in our classroom. Our library TAs all learned to use the Cricut machine by designing and creating shirts to show off their love of reading. Recently, the book club class came down to the library to create fanart projects for their books! The students were immediately drawn to them. I was surprised by how much excitement they generated. There was a lot of shared reading of books, talking, and showing. One student showed me pictures of places in her country where she had lived and travelled. It was amazing for me to see. One student wanted to read about Ronaldo because her dad is a Renaldo fan and she wanted to go home and talk to him about it.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I am grateful to have some fresh books for second semester to keep the students motivated. I was able to order some higher level chapter books and students who were ready leveled up! One student told me, \"Hide this book so nobody else can take it.
