The folders have been very helpful for students to manage their papers and keep track of all of their labs and notes in class. We had previously been using notebooks and gluing/taping items in, which had been difficult for many of my younger students to manage, and having folders has helped with their organization skills! \r\nThe magnifying glasses are also a big hit in class. We often have specimens to observe like seeds, rocks, dirt, or leaves, and students had previously just been making observations with their naked eye. Quickly after receiving the items they were put into use building confidence in our middle school students. \r\nStudents have already grabbed a snack to make it through the hours of extra-curricular activities, have attended school and class more because they can do or fix their hair and be ready for learning. Students are utilizing fidgets to focus in class and games to improve their executive functioning skills. Along with other items we were able to put together hygiene bags for our students the may be in transitional housing or are missing hygiene items at home. \r\nYour donation is making a direct impact on our students, families and school-wide culture. \r\nOne student reported, \"I was going to miss school today, I was late and needed to do my hair.
