Thanks to your generous support of our filament refresh project, our 3D printers have been running nonstop, turning student ideas into reality.\r\n\r\nStudents have learned how to design and print using TinkerCAD, both during the school day and in extended learning time before school starts. They all started as complete beginners, and it has been amazing to watch their confidence grow as well as their projects.\r\n\r\nOur first projects were personalized keychains. While they may sound simple, these keychains taught important foundational skills. Students learned how to properly save their work by including their name, the project title, and their chosen print color. They practiced following detailed directions and learned to advocate for themselves by clearly communicating their preferences. (If they didn't specify a color, I chose one for them!) That small detail quickly motivated students to be crystal clear about their design choices.\r\n\r\nAfter mastering keychains, students moved on to designing holiday ornaments. Now, they are independently finding tutorial videos and teaching themselves how to create even more complex projects. They are exploring, experimenting, and problem-solving on their own.\r\n\r\nEvery time I receive an email with a newly created student project attached, I get so excited to see what they've designed. Your support has not only provided materials—it has sparked creativity, built confidence, strengthened communication skills, and empowered students to see themselves as designers and creators.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping bring their ideas to life!
