The snacks have been an absolute game-changer, keeping tummies full and minds focused instead of distracted by hunger. During a recent rainy day recess, I watched a group of anxious students completely relax, laugh, and bond over the new board games—it was a beautiful moment of pure connection and an emotional outlet they truly needed.\r\nOur next steps are to use the art supplies for a major year-end memory book project, where students will creatively illustrate their favorite moments of growth and resilience from this year. Everything I selected was chosen with getting needs met in mind. Through your generosity, I have been able to nurture and cultivate students' self regulation, mindfulness, creativity, and coping skills, so that they feel safety and stability, which then assists them in discovering their own self-determination, autonomy, and survival skills. \r\n\r\nI ended up donating some items to our ECFE/Pre-K ASD room, which included a beanbag chair and fidgets, as their need was high.
